Barbie has been dominating the scene recently and Toronto’s loving it. First, it was an all-pink-themed Barbie pop-up experience, now it’s a new Barbie-themed closet concept store with a fashion collection that feeds your inner child.

Canadian womenswear fashion designer Hilary MacMillan has partnered with parent company Mattel for an exclusive clothing line and concept store opening in the city.

“This capsule reimagines our brand’s staples to channel the nostalgia of Barbie through generations past and cementing our vision in offering optimistic and dopamine dressing,” states Hilary MacMillan.

“Ready to wear has seen a resurgence and our partnership with Barbie comes at a time when people are searching to find inspiration in their clothing once again. We’ve done something special by creating timeless, yet trendsetting classics to take consumers back through time, yet forward in fashion.”

The collection features 15-pieces and will be on display at the concept store. The Hilary MacMillan x Barbie Shades of Pink Collection is launching on August 11th both online and in-store at the new Bloor St. W. location.

The fashion brand is known for its contemporary, cruelty-free womenswear and its range of sizes from XS to 4X.
