It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere we go … and Alberta ski hills are certainly no exception!
This week, Banff Sunshine Village announced that they will kick off the 2022-2023 season early thanks to a generous amount of snowfall over the past few days.
This Thursday, November 3rd, those looking to hit the hills will finally be able to do so – though there are a couple of things worth noting.

Most importantly, not all of their services will be available on opening day.
Until further notice, only Strawberry Express will be open, with a small park set up for those who might need a little more practice – however, lift tickets will be discounted until they’re able to open more terrain!
In addition, Trapper’s, Java Lift, Creekside, and Alpine Grill will be open as well, so get ready and stay ready.
It’s going to be a long, exciting winter and you won’t want to miss a beat.
