Banff Pride is coming to town and here’s everything you can expect at this year’s festival

Banff Pride is celebrating 10 years of diversity, inclusion, and love – in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable! Come down and experience an explosion of colour and festivity against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring Canadian Rockies.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Banff Pride, and it’s going to be bigger than ever. Here’s a quick rundown of what to expect and why you should definitely make some room in your schedule.

Banff Pride 2023 will be taking over Banff with 10 days of festivities, drag performances, live music, and quintessentially Canadian outdoor fun. You may not have known this, but in 2022, Gay Travel actually named Banff as one of the world’s top destinations for 2SLGBTQ+ travel!

There will be events happening all over Banff, from concerts to the Pride market, rainbow cocktail tastings, and more! Of course, it wouldn’t be Pride without the grace of Canadian drag royalty. Just to give you a taste of the headliners, expect to be wowed by Canadian Drag Superstars Kaos, Kendall Gender, Juice Boxx, Stephanie Prince, Synthia Kiss and more!

The festival will kick off on Friday, October 6th, with a flag-raising ceremony and Pride March through downtown Banff. Afterwards, expect Pride around every corner. There will be events happening throughout the village all the way to the peaks of Sulphur Mountain.

Speaking of peaks, that’s where you can catch Mountain Top Drag – the highest-elevation drag show in Canada. Check out Banff Gondola to see local sensations Karla Marx, Argintina Hailey, and Visa De’Klein. Talk about sky-high entertainment!

Of course, you can expect the return of signature events like Drag Brunch and Drag Bingo, along with the Pride Market. The market will run on Saturday, October 7th and the next Saturday on the 14th. Be sure to stop by and shop amazing products from queer artisans and makers. You’ll find the market at the Pride House located in Mason Hall.

Make sure you head on over to the Banff Pride website to see the full event schedule, get tickets, and score some sweet hotel deals. If you book a stay between October 1 – 18, you can get 20% off select Banff Pride events plus a swag bag and an invite to the exclusive Only Rooftop Pool Party at The Moose Hotel.

Come celebrate Pride, mountain style!
