The Alberta Rockies are always a treat to visit, and Banff National Park has just been named one of the world’s most beautiful places by Architectural Digest (AD).
The ranking of 21 destinations from around the globe includes the Grand Canyon, Machu Picchu, Shetland Islands, and of course, Alberta’s picturesque gem.
Banff National Park was the only spot in Canada to make the cut — talk about an impressive feat!
Banff landed on the list thanks to its vast number of hiking trails, glaciers, bright blue lakes (hello there, Peyto and Moraine Lake), a mountain that looks like a castle, and Canada’s longest cave.
“Banff National Park is a paradise for outdoor adventurers. It’s also the country’s very first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its ecological significance,” AD added.
Banff has previously been named one of the most Instagrammable places in the world, so it definitely checks out that it’s been called one of the most beautiful, too.
We just love to see our gem of the Rockies getting some serious love worldwide! It was even named one of the best places in Canada to visit this year — clearly, people just can’t get enough of it.
