Drumheller is a one-of-a-kind destination with some of the most unbelievable sights, but few in Canada are as notable as The Badlands Amphitheatre in Alberta – the largest of its kind in the entire country.

Unknown to a surprising few, this stunning venue seats 2,500 people and is surrounded by mountains, hills and (more often than not) a clear sky.

From live theatre shows and the opera to fireworks, and outdoor movies, this spot has really seen it all – including the annual Great Big Weekend music festival, which will feature Johnny Reid and The Dead South this August.

Comparable to those found in Greece and Italy, this outdoor stage holds some of the most beautiful shows in Canada – so check it out!

As we mentioned, not only do organizers hold ‘high-brow events,’ but they also have casual daytime romps, like the Roots, Blues and BBQ festival which happens every year in September.
