Another year has come and gone and with that, Alberta has revealed the most popular baby names of 2022.
According to the provincial government, Alberta welcomed a whopping 48,228 babies, with two extremely familiar monikers topping their list of 12,966 registered names.
For the fourth year in a row, Noah took the #1 spot in the boy’s category, while Olivia continues to hold the record for the longest-running, most popular girl’s name in Alberta, having skyrocketed to popularity in 2013.

As for the other names?
Sophia and Liam also climbed the charts, followed by Emma and Theodore, on the ‘girls’ and ‘boys’ lists respectively.
“Congratulations to everyone who brought a child into this world in 2022,” said Dale Nally, Minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction in a press release.
“Alberta is a great place to live, and I see a positive future for all parents choosing to raise a family here.”
