We now have an opening date! Get ready to fuel that coffee craving because the popular Japanese coffee brand % Arabica will open its first Canadian location in Toronto this weekend.
But where, you may ask? There are two locations slated to open in Toronto, the first one being at Yorkdale Mall, on December 10th. And in honour of its grand opening into the Canadian market, the first 100 customers that purchase a coffee of any size, will get a complimentary canelé pastry and bag of % Arabica coffee.
“We are extremely excited to enter the Canadian market. We have a deep love for Canada and anticipate Canadians will feel the same way about our coffee,” says, Kenneth Shoji, founder of % Arabica.

“The opening of our first Canadian brick & mortar inside Yorkdale Shopping Centre marks the first of many openings across Canada.”
When entering the new shop, customers will experience a chic and minimalist interior and Japanese-inspired ambiance that’s reminiscent of Kyoto, according to its release. % Arabica is known for its special blend of espresso-based coffees, specialty lattes, drip coffees, matcha, and much more.
The growth doesn’t stop here! According to Shoji, they will be opening another Toronto location inside Union station in 2023. And don’t worry west coast, they haven’t forgotten about you. “We’re also thrilled to announce we’ll expand to the West Coast with a location in Whistler, British Columbia,” said Shoji.
This opening comes at a perfect time, especially if you’re looking for the perfect gift to give that coffee lover in your life.
