And, there’s a sort of fun relationship between Monet and Van Gogh. Born only 13 years before Van Gogh, Monet became a central figure in the impressionist art movement, which focused on a more personal representation of the world than capturing it ‘as-is’. Meanwhile, Van Gogh is arguably the creator of the post-impressionist movement, taking that personal touch and moving it further than anyone notable had before.

Together, they have two of the world’s most beloved paintings to their name, Monet with Water Lilies and Van Gogh with Starry Night. Fun fact here, too, since most of Monet’s most famous paintings came after the death of Van Gogh.

From a technical side, the ‘feeling first’ art impressionist art style lends perfectly to a fully immersive experience, showing brushstrokes and artistic touches that are rarely seen by the public. Of course, you’ve got some time to think about it. Why? Well, ticket info won’t be released until later this fall!

We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop when it happens. Enjoy the day, Edmonton!
