While the worst might be over, this is rainy season for Vancouver, and another storm is on the way. This morning, Environment Canada put out a new rainfall warning covering Metro Vancouver as well as the Fraser Valley. Here’s what we can expect.

Luckily, the projected rainfall is nowhere near what the region recently experienced. According to the warning, the region will see anywhere from 50mm-80mm of rain between now and Thursday night. Things will be heaviest tomorrow, before lightening up tomorrow night.

Even still, Environment Canada acknowledged that the rain, paired with high winds, could worsen recent flooding and ‘impact vulnerable landscapes and infrastructure’. Additionally, the rain could lead to ‘localized flooding’ around the region. Sadly, it looks like parts of BC are not out of the woods just yet.
