You can adopt a new furry friend in Calgary for less than $100

Are you looking for a furry friend to cuddle as we head into the colder months?

If so, this event was made just for you! The City of Calgary’s Animal Services Centre is inviting all Calgarians to open their hearts to a new pet (or two) at adoption events coming up this fall.

This week, from Sept. 25 to 27, all adoptable cats will be available at a discounted price of $84.52 + GST.

Next week, from Oct. 2 to 4, the same can be said for available dogs, with an adoption fee of $100 + GST.

That means you can go home with a new best friend for less than $100 in the next two weeks!

What to expect

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to adopt a new pet, this is your sign.

You can feel good about choosing to adopt from Animal Services Centre. Each pet is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, health-checked and comes with a one-year license.

For families, it’s the ideal setup. You can go home knowing that your new companion is happy and healthy.

If you’ve got the space in your life for an adoptable animal’s forever home, this event is exactly what you need to take the first step.

Responsible pet ownership

Animal Services Centre, located at 2201 Portland St. SE, is focused on providing high-quality and cost-friendly adoptions. They support responsible pet ownership by connecting people with compatible companions.

“[This is] a wonderful opportunity for Calgarians to meet some of the incredible pets in our care and give them the loving homes they deserve,” said coordinator of animal care and clinic services Kathleen Dickson in a press release.

Adoptions will take place at the Animal Services Centre during regular hours of operation.

You can even browse the City’s website to see which cats and dogs would make a good match for you and your family.

All Calgarians are encouraged to stop by, meet a four-legged friend, and see if one steals your heart.

Your new bestie is waiting!
