Repping our hometown on the small screen is something that we can only dream of doing. Luckily, until we make it big, we can live vicariously through comedian, Andrew Phung, who snuck a YYC easter egg into a recent episode of his new show, Run The Burbs.

Known for his roles on the hit show Kim’s Convenience and Last One Laughing Canada, Phung took the opportunity to flash some gear that might look pretty familiar to fellow Calgarians.

“It was important to sprinkle in Calgary references throughout #RunTheBurbs, he wrote. “Tonight I was able to rep YYC by rocking this 🔥🔥 tee from @locallaundry! They are a fantastic local Calgary business with made in Canada goods.”

While it’ll be fun to rewatch the show with eagle eyes knowing what we know now about these 403 Easter Eggs, this particular one was incredibly cool to see.

Local Laundry, who make everything from T-shirts (like the one Phung wore in the episode) to sweat pants – collab with a ton of other Calgary designers, causes, and businesses, donating money, spreading awareness, and giving us one more reason to be proud of where we’re from.

Until the next one is found – thanks, Andrew. We love a good Calgary shoutout – and we’re proud to call you our own.
