Here’s a great way to cap off the cooler months. Grouse Mountain will be bringing back the Slush Cup this April, in all its hilariously fun glory! If an afternoon of watching (or even participating in) some zany water trials sounds up your alley, then here’s what to know.

As the name implies, the Slush Cup will see skiers and snowboarders alike try to cross a pool of slush, with some fun twists. First, they’re encouraged to dress up in wacky costumes, and second, bonus prizes will be awarded for things like ‘best trick’, or more importantly, ‘best crash’.

Of course, it’s almost as fun to be an onlooker here. Those in the ‘splash zone’ are asked to don some tropical outfits, and there will be a beer garden and BBQ to keep your spirits high during the competition. Is this pretty much an excuse to go be weird on the ski hill for a day? Absolutely, and we’re down for it.

While the price of admission isn’t cheap (you need a lift ticket to access it), that also means it could be a great way to cap off the ski season this year. The event will take place April 2nd, with things kicking off in the morning and winding down around 5PM. See if your sporty friends are down to check it out!
