Oh Amazon, the expansion never seems to stop. And on that note, Amazon is opening its 7th Amazon Go store in Seattle. Because well, groceries are a sure source of business during the pandemic. But we can’t say we’re surprised, it was about time for another one.
The new Amazon Go store will be located in the heart of downtown and in the old space of an Office Depot. It’ll be decently sized at over 1,400 square feet but hold your horses because no opening date has been announced. And in the meantime, we’ll be curious to see if they roll out any new forms of technology at this location. Although, if it’s more invasive than palm scanning, we probably don’t want it. So for now we’ll assume you can still gain entry via your good old Amazon Prime app.

As for all the crazy tech, some people seem to like this model. And it does make sense, after all, we’re living in an age where human contact is discouraged. You know, the pandemic and all that. But if you’re in a pinch and need groceries quickly with little distraction, Amazon Go can give you just that.
