There’s a magical holiday experience coming to one of the largest living-history sites in Canada. Ontario’s Upper Canada Village is transforming its heritage site into a bright winter wonderland for its annual Alight at Night festival.

Starting Nov. 28, Alight at Night will light up the evening sky with over one million lights, creating a stunning holiday backdrop.

Its heritage buildings, trees, and fences will be adorned with glowing lights.

“Bundle up for an evening stroll through this picture-perfect postcard setting,” shares the site. “Over one million lights illuminate Upper Canada Village, creating a one-of-a-kind magical backdrop – a true winter wonderland!”

What can I expect at Alight at Night?

Here’s what’s on the itinerary:

  • Pommier Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride –  A ticketed, 30-minute carriage ride for up to four guests. This experience also includes full access to the Alight at Night Festival and a gift of four tickets for Upper Canada Village’s regular day programming in 2025.
