Honestly, being able to look up and see the stars above is one of those simple pleasures we can never get enough of. So, we’re naturally pretty excited about the upcoming Jasper Dark Sky Festival, which is a chance to see the night sky in all its glory.
Turns out, Jasper National Park is home to one of the largest dark sky preserves in the entire world. And while it’s beautiful any time of year, things really come alive in the early fall, thanks to later sunrises and earlier sunsets. Without it being, you know, -30 degrees outside.

And while just visiting is enough, you should know there are tons of events to check out during the festival. We’re talking everything from yoga under the stars to after-hours skytram trips and even helicopter tours. Don’t worry- you’re not going to be flying around in the middle of the night, but you will get a peek at the stars right as they start to come out.
We’ll have more info for you in the coming days, but keep this in mind if you’re planning a fall getaway this month!
