RoadTrip Music Festival is the newest, end-of-summer concert experience coming to this Ontario city in September. From international talent to emerging Canadian acts, this one-day music festival will take over Kingston, Ont., and here’s what to know.
Make your way to Canada’s first capital city on Saturday, Sept. 12, for a full day of delicious culinary eats, vendor offerings, and live music.
According to organizers, downtown Kingston will transform into a festival hub with free performances and an evening concert right at the square.
“Just as the best road trips are full of adventure and memorable stops along the way, the RoadTrip Music Festival will take you on a day-to-night journey packed with music, food, shopping and infectious community spirit,” reads the website.
Festivities begin at 10 a.m., where visitors will be able to wander freely and take in all the energy, with free acts along Princess Street.
Shop from local vendors, enjoy one-of-a-kind art, sit at a patio and soak up some sun. This street experience will run until 5 p.m., after which the concert series portion of the festival will kick off at the square starting at 6:30 p.m.
The iconic Springer Market Square will host a number of performances into the late hours. Artists such as Katie Tupper, Kasador and Gabriel Jacoby will take the stage.
The concert will end with a performance by Peach Pit, which will wrap up the festival experience. The full schedule of performances can be found online.
Tickets start at $65 plus tax; however, if you’re a student, you can snag one for $55+ on the official website.
