Have big plans this weekend? We hope it includes some fun in the sun because spring 2023 is coming in hot!

This weekend, consider taking your egg hunting outdoors because, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Easter weather forecast for Alberta calls for temperatures far higher than most we’ve seen over the last few months across most of the province.

While there is rain and snow in the cards for some including Banff and Jasper, Wild Rose Country’s biggest cities are among the lucky ones that will finally see temperatures warm enough to go without a jacket!

Starting with the city of champions, Edmontonians have plenty to look forward to between now and Sunday, April 9th.

This Saturday, Mother Nature will kick off the weekend with double digits – reaching 14°C, then a whopping 18°C on Sunday!

Calgary will follow a similar pattern, though things will get off to a cloudier (but warmer) start on the 7th.

Expect 16°C on Friday, 13°C on Saturday and then a beautiful 17°C and a mix of sun and cloud on Sunday – perfect for taking a walk, hitting a park or just grabbing a cone with the family before heading back to work on Monday.

Could we ask for anything better?!

As always, the Alberta weather forecast is subject to change – but stay optimistic! This weekend is shaping up to be one of the nicest we’ve had in a while and you’re not going to want to let it go to waste.

Enjoy and Hoppy Easter!
