Alberta saw another Northern Lights show last night & it was magical (PHOTOS)

Hey jr. astronomers, space junkies, and casual sky viewers did you catch that? Last night, the Aurora Borealis lit up the Alberta sky again and as per usual it was a sight to behold. Luckily, if you weren’t among the few who were up and roaming around at the wee hours of the morning and missed it, social media was flooded with photos and videos of the Northern Lights as they appeared in Alberta.

In hues of green and purple, these stunning lights practically danced through the sky well after midnight and continued into the early morning delighting both night owls and early birds alike.

Here are just some of the mesmerizing images captured during last night’s geomagnetic storm

Amazing right? Just imagine seeing it with your own two eyes!

For those of you who may not know, the Northern Lights are predictable here in Alberta and all over the world. The key is just knowing where to look!

If you’ve recently added Aurora to your bucket list, we’d recommend signing up to receive alerts from Aurora Watch – a service managed by researchers at the U of A.
