Western Canada's largest free outdoor light display to take place outside Calgary

There’s magic in the air and the temperatures have begun to drop. From markets to snow-covered trees, it won’t be long until we’ve kicked off the holiday season and on your calendar, we’d recommend adding the Airdrie Festival of Lights!
Making the season bright since 1996, this enchanting event is described as Western Canada’s largest, free, outdoor walk-through Christmas Light Display.
With trees and familiar shapes, faces, tunnels, and even a gift shop, guests are encouraged to grab the hand of someone special, wander, and take photos along the way.
“The Airdrie Festival of Lights is a beautiful, outdoor walk-through lights experience, with about a million dollars worth of displays and other special features,” they explain on their website.
“We have miniature trains ($2/ride) which carry the whole family around our preset paths, as well as open bonfires where you can savour that cup of hot chocolate or apple cider ($2/cup).”
