Attention, travellers! If you’ve been awaiting Air Canada’s new direct route from Vancouver to Singapore, we’ve got some great news for you. As of Wednesday, April 3rd, the wait is officially over!

The first non-stop service from Canada to Singapore just officially launched, and is now operating four times per week year-round.

Stretching nearly 13,000 km, the new route marks Air Canada’s longest flight by distance, according to the airline. Passengers can expect a flying time of up to 16 hours and five minutes – so don’t forget to bring a form of entertainment for the journey!

Passengers travel onboard Air Canada’s flagship Dreamliner fleet, which features three cabins of service for customers to choose from: Air Canada’s Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy, and Economy.

“Air Canada is thrilled to welcome customers onboard our newest route linking Canada and Singapore from our Pacific hub in Vancouver,” says Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada. “These new Singapore flights are part of our strategic expansion at YVR.”

Galardo also notes that the new route will provide an important gateway to other destinations across Southeast Asia, Southern India, and Western Australia via Singapore Airlines.
