We agree it’s a bit scary that such a beloved place in our city will be changing hands. However, the same people will be in charge of the aquarium as before, so we’re hoping that they keep their conservation focus. Only time will tell, but we’re looking at the future optimistically here.
On top of all that, the new owners plan to hire back most of the staff that has been laid off. Oh, and they will also be donating 1% of profits to the Ocean Wise organization once they reopen. That’s some good news!
We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any more news about the new plans for the Vancouver Aquarium. If you want, you can check out the full statement right here!
