Looking to try a new dish in Vancouver this weekend? We’ve got just the option for you. A new udon pop-up called Little Pilot is launching in Chinatown tomorrow! What’s more, we know that it’s going to be delicious, since it’s coming from one of the best new restaurants in the city.

The Italian spot Barbara opened in the spring of last year. A tiny space (it’s just 17 seats), Barbara survived thanks to an impeccable menu showcasing chef Patrick Hennessey’s skills. But, as a former sous-chef at Kissa Tanto, we’re also trusting his latest creation.

Which are a trio of cold udon soups with simple descriptions- pork, prawn, and vegetable. Priced at $16, $17, and $15 respectively, the dishes are being offered as takeout-only, with a very simple setup. If you want a bowl, all you have to do is DM Little Pilot on Instagram, or shoot them an e-mail. DM’ing to get some food? That’s what we call efficient.

The pop-up will be open Friday and Saturday this week. But, it should be open from Wednesday to Saturday starting next week, until the indoor dining restrictions are lifted. Well, it looks like we just found ourselves to perfect dinner option for this scorcher of a weekend!
