We’ve been waiting for this announcement for a while, folks. Not only is Miantiao set to be a delicious restaurant in its own right, but it’s also taken over one of the most prestigious locations in the city. That’s because this new concept from Kitchen Table Group is replacing MARKET by Jean-Georges, and becoming the Shangri-La’s newest dining jewel. Here’s what to know about it.

Miantiao more or less translates to ‘noodles’ in Mandarin. It’s a fitting name, since the restaurant is blending two cuisines with noodles at the forefront- Italian and Chinese. Of course, this is no simple noodle house, and that becomes apparent from the just-released menu.

The diverse menu offers a variety of a la carte items, ranging from Burrata with X.O. Sauce to Daikon finished with lemon and parmigiano. If you’re looking for an even more authentic experience, the restaurant also offers ‘family style’ menus starting at $65 per person, which is actually pretty darn reasonable. As for the drink menu, expect a masterful blend of signature cocktails, rare spirits, and an extensive wine list.

Now, all we have to do is check it out when it opens and confirm our suspicions!
