A stunning Finnish-inspired spa is opening north of Toronto next month

A new relaxation destination is coming our way, Ontario! The one-of-a-kind Vettä Nordic Spa will accommodate up to 350 guests at once when it opens its doors this January 3rd in Oro-Medonte.

The spa is said to have one of the largest authentic wood-burning saunas in North America, plus all kinds of Finnish-inspired experiences to help you soak your stress away.

The property is nestled in the highlands of Horseshoe Valley just an hour north of Toronto and an hour from Muskoka, making you feel as if you’ve truly escaped from the city without having to travel too far.

The building itself is made from materials (and inspiration) imported from Finland and offers gorgeous views of the surrounding nature.

Guests will have access to multiple saunas, steam rooms, warm pools, cold plunges, and relaxation areas for self-guided hydrotherapy cycles.

There are also 12 massage treatment rooms, a hot stone room where you can enjoy a treatment in between soaks.

You’ll also have two eateries to choose from when you’re ready to grab a bite — the Kiovu Restaurant with two outdoor patios, and the in-spa Savu Bistro overlooking the waterfall, plus the grab-and-go coffee bar.

Booking your visit early will grant you access to the introductory pricing — a 60-minute massage and access to the Nordic spa for $249, or just the spa experience for $89. Booking is set to open in the coming weeks, and you can join the mailing list for updates.

It’s worth noting that the main-level restaurant and boutique won’t be operational in time for the grand opening. The spa promises to be in full swing with all of the final touches by early 2022.

While we anticipate the grand opening of the Whitby Nordic spa village next spring, this gorgeous spot is worth a visit.
