Chances are that we all enter contests every once in a while. And chances are that you never win. Well, one Seattle healthcare worker won the opportunity of a lifetime, a new life. That’s right, Elise Kaiser won her very own home thanks to the 2020 HGTV Urban Oasis sweepstakes.
Last month, Kaiser was supposed to have a virtual happy hour zoom call with her sister. But when she logged on to the call she was met by HGTV designer Brian Patrick Flynn instead. He told her that she’d won her own home located in Portland, Maine. And we have to say the nearly 2000 square foot, remodeled 1900s New England cottage is pretty dang cute. Not to mention, it’s Kaiser’s first home.

Obviously, when a stranger tells you that you’ve won a prize package worth $650k over Zoom, you’re going to be skeptical. But for once this wasn’t a scam and instead, a chance at a new life. As you might imagine, Kaiser is super excited, especially after the dumpster fire that was 2020. Because not only did the pandemic happen but she also had to postpone her wedding. So now she has something pretty dang cool to look forward to.
