If you feel as though you need a little more convincing, look no further than the Harvest Pumpkin Festival Date Night at Butterfield Acres in Calgary.
Located 25 minutes from the city’s centre, Butterfield Acres has everything from ridiculously cute animals and tractor rides to a pumpkin patch and firepits.
Now, although this is an extremely family-friendly spot, only adults will be encouraged to check it out on October 9th between 5 pm and 8 pm as part of their annual date night event.

During this cozy evening out, guests will be able to sink their teeth into s’mores and sip hot chocolate, mix and mingle with other kid-less groups and pick a gourd to carve later when you get home. The date doesn’t have to end just because the event does!
Each ticket will include one pumpkin – so take your time, wander around and chose wisely, then ride off into the sunset in their wagon, which will take you on a tour of the rest of the farm off the beaten path. Spoiler, it’s gorgeous.
