Over the last year, Shelter has become the spot for a wide variety of delicious pop-ups and guest chefs. From ramen and desserts to coffee and festive cocktails, they’ve kind of seen it all – or at least now they have! This May, catch the newest resto to temporarily move in, Garbanzo’s – a larger-than-life take-out falafel joint with homemade pita and a ton of personality.

Made with plant-based ingredients, Garbano’s is vegan-friendly, planet-friendly and most importantly, taste-bud friendly.

With platters and of course, some of the biggest wraps you might ever see, Garbanzo’s does not play around when it comes to indulgence.

Whether plant-based restaurants excite you or not, we’d still recommend checking them out, simply because what they lack in meaty options, they make up for in sauce, spice and everything nice.

Take our word for it, Calgary! You honestly don’t have to be a vegan to appreciate amazing vegan food – after all, delicious, is delicious no matter what it’s made of – which in this case is daily baked pita bread, creamy tzatziki and perfectly done chickpeas.

If you’re interested, Garbanzo’s will be available on weekends starting on Saturday, May 22nd (as well as the long weekend Monday) at 11 am and will stay open until they run out – so do not hesitate, Calgary! This certainly will not last forever and you won’t want to miss out! Enjoy!
