A new authentic Italian gelato shop is now open in Calgary

It’s about time that Calgary gets a true Italian gelato spot. Noto Gelato located in the heart of Bridgeland is opening their doors today and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Three Italian Canadian families have come together to offer Calgarians handcrafted gelato made using traditional techniques with imported Italian ingredients. You can’t get any more legit than that!

The visionary behind Noto Gelato is Dom Tudda, the owner of Pulcinella in Kensington. Tudda is a classically trained chef who learned from the experts. Continuously practicing his craft and tirelessly improving until he perfected his most authentic gelato recipes. Which we gotta say with just one bite has us transported right to the streets of Italy.

Stefanna Spoletini, his partner in crime and niece, has taken Dom’s craft and ran with it to create Noto Gelato. She’s serving up some serious gelato out of the adorable store on 4 street NE. This is the family that has brought all the legendary Italian spots to Calgary including Spolombo’s and Mercato so you know Noto Gelato is the real deal.

They currently have 16 different flavours and counting including Lemon Sorbetto, Hazelnut, Mint Chocolate, and everyone’s favourite, Nutella, or is that just ours? They also have some uniquely Italian flavours such as Stracciatella and Aperol Spritz Sorbetto. Dairy-free options are available so everyone can rejoice with Noto Gelato.

It may be cold outside but it’s cozy inside and that calls for an icy treat! Their storefront is open if you want to check it out and they offer curbside pick-up but the best part is that they have teamed up with DoorDash and Skip the Dishes so you can indulge right from the comforts of home.

We couldn’t be happier to welcome an authentic gelato shop to the neighbourhood. Keep your eye out for them at your local grocery store because they plan to make Noto Gelato accessible to you! And you may also see their name pop up at your favourite restaurants as well. There is no stopping them and we are 100% A-Okay with that!
