While it’s all subject to travel guidelines, we’re still very excited to see that the Malahat Skywalk is still on track to open in 2021. Located on Vancouver Island, this treetop walk winds through the forest before ending with a massive spiral tower. Here’s a quick recap.

The Malahat Skywalk is the result of a partnership between the Malahat Nation and the company A.Spire by Nature. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, just know that the people running it were also behind the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish. We think that’s a pretty good thing to have on the resume, hey?

And now, more on the Skywalk itself. Located along the Malahat Highway, the Skywalk will be some 600 metres long, with the tower reaching 32 metres high. It’s a little less than the original plan, but still offers incredible views of the surrounding area.

Once you take those in, you’ll be able to make your way back down to the entrance. Construction has been moving at a steady pace, and they’re hoping to have it open by the spring!

Fingers crossed, folks!
