We’ve got a bit of bad news for you, folks. According to representatives, the iconic Glow in the Garden experience at VanDusen Botanical Garden has been cancelled for the second year in a row. But, we wouldn’t talk about it if we didn’t have some other options in mind for you! Here’s the scoop.
Launched in 2016, Glow in the Garden became a must-visit, family-friendly Halloween experience in the city. Unfortunately, it was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, and the same has occurred this year. It’s a bummer, we know.

But, you can still enjoy some fall fun at this stunning attraction. Later this month, the garden is hosting an Artists for Conservation Festival that will feature live music, art demos, and art sketching walks. Plus, the garden hosts a variety of workshops, education programs, and speakers on an ongoing basis.
Of course, you don’t need t say much more than “I want to see some pretty fall colours” to convince your friends to go with you. Trust us, we’ve done it before, and we’ll do it again.
