After over a year of being inside and entertaining ourselves or looking at screens, folks are looking to get out and enjoy never-before-seen immersive experiences. And if you happened to be a fan of Immersive Van Gogh, you’re not going to miss this one. The producers of the hit Van Gogh experience are bringing Jamie Allan’s Illusionarium to town on July 29th, and it promises to be nothing short of magical.

Jamie Allan’s Illusionarium is a 300,000 square foot experiential magic show chock full of life-size holograms, 3D projections, floor-to-ceiling visuals, and jaw-dropping special effects. You’ll get to wander through a maze of 4 magical rooms including the Palais Royale, The Egyptian Hall, On-Air Studios, and Evo-lusion Theatre. Each room will take you through different eras in time starting all the way back in the 17th century. It’s pretty much the coolest way to see the evolution of magic as you learn from the world’s most famous illusionists.

As you might have guessed, the show was conceived by British high-tech magician Jamie Allen and that means you’re learning from the best of the best. The show intends to blend both current and past magic styles to wow audiences and depict just how has changed in the world of magic. It’s also pretty dang cool that guests get to experience renowned magicians Penn & Teller in the ON AIR room as they perform a pre-recorded trick just for Illusionarium.

The installation is taking place at the third gallery space in the historic Toronto Star printing presses and is running alongside Immersive Van Gogh and Gogh By Car, which means that you could do them all or a few in a day. Of course, that all depends on just how immersed you’re prepared to be.

Whatever you choose we recommend purchasing your tickets ASAP as they’re on sale and if this thing takes off, they won’t be easy to snag. Currently, there is a limit of four people per group and masks are required inside the experience.
