Hello, art lovers! If you’re looking for something new to check out, we’ve got the perfect thing for you. The local contemporary art festival Chinook Series is set to kick off this week, bringing a wide variety of shows, talks, and workshops to Edmonton. Let’s check it out!

Instead of a single focus, Chinook Series is actually three local initiatives rolled into one this year- Expanse Festival, Fringe Festival, and Sound Off. So, here’s a quick rundown of what each of them is bringing to the table. Turns out, we’ve got a lot to look forward to.

Expanse focuses on contemporary dance pieces, while Fringe has long been known for its boundary-pushing plays and one-person shows. But, we’re most excited about Sound Off, since it’s all about creating art for the Deaf community. We’ve never seen ASL improv, but that sounds pretty incredible.

Things kick off on Thursday, March 25th! For more info, just click the link below.
