August is in full swing and the events are rolling in, out and even down the Bow River! As confirmed by the Paddle Station in Calgary, the annual Pride Float will return for another year of flags, fun and heat and you won’t want to miss it.

Held in support of Calgary’s most colourful festival, the popular rental company will hold a massive bob and mingle where costumes are encouraged and love is celebrated aboard tubes, kayaks and boats.

All you need to do to participate is head over to Shouldice Athletic Park right under the 16th Avenue bridge at 2 pm on August 27th with a river-safe device, sunscreen and some snacks for the trip (not required, but recommended.)

If of course, you don’t have the means to float, you can rent a raft from the Paddle Station, though it’s important to note that they go quickly – so book now!

Rafts and Kayaks range from $50 to $400 depending on the size and all vessels come inflated, prepped and will be waiting for you by the river at your scheduled time.

In addition, the Paddle Station will provide you with the required gear (life jacked and kit) and will give you a quick rundown of what you can expect.
