Gotham City has officially arrived in Ontario. A new Batman spin-off series by The CW called Gotham Knights has started filming in Toronto and Hamilton, transforming parts of the city into the fictional city from the franchise.

Locals in both cities are sharing photos and videos of the set, featuring Gotham City PD squad cars and Gotham District Correctional Facility trucks parked in the streets.

Production is currently underway for the pilot episode, which will be a one-hour drama that begins during the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder, Variety reports.

The outlet says that the pilot isn’t tied to the upcoming Gotham Knights video game and is not a spinoff of Batwoman.

“Bruce Wayne is murdered, his adopted son forges an alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies, the city becomes more dangerous,” reads the show’s synopsis on IMDb.

“However, mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors, known as the Gotham Knights.”

The cast includes Misha Collins, Olivia Rose Keegan, Rahart Adams, Oscar Morgan, Fallon Smythe, and Tyler DiChiara.

So the next time you’re out and about in the city, be on the lookout for some famous faces.
