You don’t need a plane ticket to say your I do’s in Sin City. Toronto’s Bar Mordecai is transforming into an authentic Las Vegas-style chapel of love to give couples a second chance at an elopement if the pandemic got in the way of their plans.

The west-end bar will offer elopement packages on February 12th and 13th, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The 90-minute ceremonies will take place in Bar Mordecai’s Vegas room and can accommodate up to 10 guests, plus the legal officiant.

The elopement packages come with all kinds of extras too, like a photography package with 50 prints, a celebratory champagne toast, florals for the couple, an Elvis serenade, and a 30-minute “winter wonderland” reception on the covered and heated patio.

The cost of the package is $2900+HST, which may not be the cheapest Vegas wedding out there but a total bargain compared to what most people spend on their nuptials.

Just show up with your marriage license from City Hall, eight loved ones, and your finest suit or white gown — Bar Morcedai will take care of the rest!

“Worried that Sin City weddings only result in disaster marriages like Carmen Electra & Dennis Rodman? Don’t forget that storied unions like those of Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward, Sarah Michelle Gellar & Freddie Prinze Junior, and Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos all began with a quickie ceremony on the strip,” the bar says on its website.

If you can’t wait another moment to exchange vows with the love of your life, this could be the perfect chance to do it!
