It’s the first full week of October, and you know what that means. Pumpkin patches have officially opened all around Vancouver, and we’ve rounded up the best of them! After all, it’s hard to beat a little farm visit on a sunny fall day, and we want you to have as much time as possible to plan. So, let’s see what’s out there.
Here are 10 of the best pumpkin patches you can visit around Vancouver.
Southlands Heritage Farm
We’re happy that the only true farm experience in Vancouver also happens to be well worth the visit! This urban oasis of a farm offers a u-pick pumpkin patch, plus the opportunity to hang out with a bunch of farm animals. It’s also a working farm, so you can pitch in on a couple of tasks if you really want to immerse yourself.
Where: 6767 Balaclava Street
Cost: $8 per adult (comes with a free pumpkin!)
Richmond Country Farms Pumpkin Patch
The actual pumpkin patch at Richmond Country Farms is a little bit of a walk from the main area, but they’ve come up with a great solution. For a little bit extra, you’ll get to ride in a tractor-drawn wagon, complete with entertainment, to and from the patch itself!
Where: 12900 Steveston Hwy, Richmond
Cost: $12-$20 (comes with a free pumpkin!)
Westham Island Herb Farm
Fun fact- a decent amount of the pumpkins at Southlands actually comes from Westham Island. Of course, that means this is another great experience, and for more than just the pumpkins! In fact, they’ve got a whole general store filled to the brim with local produce. Sure, you’ll get a jack-o-lantern, but we have a feeling you’ll walk away with a lot more.

Laity Pumpkin Patch South
Easily the most impressive option on this list, Laity Pumpkin Patch was such a hit in Metro Vancouver that they had to open a second location. What’s more, the ‘south’ patch features a whole bunch of pumpkin-related fun, including its own ‘Western pumpkin town’.

Aldor Acres Family Farm
If you’re looking for a diverse pumpkin patch experience, then this is a great choice. This Langley farm sits on 80 acres, and grows a variety of pumpkins for you to pick from! Beyond the patch, there are tons of open-air farm animals to watch and a farm market to shop at. Perfect for those looking for that perfect pumpkin variety this month.

Rondriso Farms
Turns out, Surrey has got a few pumpkin patches that are all worth a visit. This family farm promises some of the biggest and best pumpkins across the region, and we’re inclined to believe the claim. And like Richmond Country Farms, they’re offering hay bale rides out to the fields!

Port Kells Nurseries
If all you’re looking for is a great photo opp, you’ll be happy to know that admission to the pumpkin patch at Port Keels Nurseries is free! But, we will say that we’d be disappointed if our readers didn’t repay their generosity with a trip to the general store on-site to grab a little something before they head home.

Hazelmere Pumpkin Patch
This 20-acre farm offers a whopping 25 different varieties of pumpkins, making it the most diverse patch on this list! There’s also a mini corn maze and farm animal areas to explore, and even (for whatever reason) a real 1971 firetruck on the property! Does it make sense? No. Will it make for a great photo? Absolutely.

Maan Farms
If you’re going to be making the trip out to Abbotsford, then it needs to be worth the journey. And oh boy, does Maan Farms deliver. Their ‘Fall at the Farm’ experience includes everything from a pumpkin patch to a corn maze and a barnyard animal experience. Afterwards, you can even stick around for their Haunted experiences.

Taves Family Farms
Home of the famous Applebarn, this 3rd-generation family farm does not miss when it comes to their fall experiences. In addition to the pumpkin patch, they’ve got hay rides, two corn mazes, a petting barn, and a whole ton of u-pick apples to grab for yourself. Spend the evening carving a pumpkin, then enjoy that labour of love apple pie you made!
