Here are 9 of the best spots for apple picking near Toronto that you have to visit this fall.

Downey’s Strawberry and Apple Farm

Stop by here for delicious apple picking all autumn long. There’s no entry fee or reservation required, so this spot is perfect for a spur-of-the-moment fall afternoon.

But, if you’d rather wait for your apple variety of choice to be ripe and ready for picking, you can take a look at the farm’s harvest calendar and plan your visit accordingly.

Chudleigh’s

Come for the apples but stay for all the other amazing fall events and activities this place has got going on.

You can definitely make a whole day out of a trip to Chudlegih’s Farm — plus, it’s open daily, holidays included!

You’ll go home with more than just apples at Watson Farms — there are pears, squash, and pumpkin you can pick too!

The website lists the opening season dates of all their products, including tons of delicious varieties of apples. Plus, there are photo stations, petting zoos, and wagon rides for you to check out while you’re there.

Apple picking with a side of wine tasting? Sign us up! This apple orchard and winery opens for picking on September 9th.

It is surrounded by picturesque country views and vineyards, so if you love wine, you’ll have a lot to keep you entertained here.

There are nearly 10,000 trees in the orchard and many varieties of juicy apples, plus a market full of freshly made cider, baked goods, and preserves. Yum!

Pine Farms Orchard

This lovely farm just a few minutes north of Canada’s Wonderland is dog-friendly, as long as you keep your companion on a leash.

There are so many varieties to pick at these orchards, and you’ll want to save some room in your shopping bags for all the products for sale at the market.

It’s brimming with local produce, ready-picked apples, fresh-pressed cider, and tons of amazing products. There’s also a cafe that sells pastries, coffee, tea, and lunch.

This great location has hazelnut groves and pumpkin patches along with their sprawling apple orchards.

Reservations aren’t required for just apple picking but are recommended if you want to experience the rest of what the farm has to offer, like the corn maze and wagon rides.

It’s located near Caledon, which is home to beautiful hiking trails like Forks of the Credit Provincial Park and Belfountain Conservation Area.

This farm has “the best apples on the planet,” according to visitors, and we’re definitely tempted to find out for ourselves.

This year, the farm boasts a “beautiful bumper crop” of apples in every variety you could dream of.

They’re even bringing back historic heritage apples this season, including Northern Spy, Snow, Spartan, Wealthy, and Cox Orange Pippin.

Needless to say, apple enthusiasts will have a field day here!
