According to the City of Calgary, City Council approved the $26-million project in 2021, and construction officially broke ground in September 2024 and wrapped up in 2026.
The park is part of the larger Rocky Ridge Athletic Complex, which will eventually include an indoor fieldhouse with a FIFA-standard field, and it is set to be complete in 2028.

The park has two artificial-turf, multi-use fields that are intended to be used for a variety of sports, not just soccer. According to the City of Calgary, the park also has washrooms, parking, spectator seating, and field lighting so you can use the fields in the evening.
