If you’ve been looking for your drink of the summer, look no further, Toronto. Scapegrace Classic Gin is NOW AVAILABLE at the LCBO. This remarkable beverage is making major waves across Canada and we’re going to tell you why.

The story behind Scapegrace is pretty darn interesting. The brand is a collaborative effort between two guys in New Zealand who didn’t know each other at all. That is, until one of those guys married the other guy’s sister. Over the years, the brother-in-laws found themselves bonding over their shared dream of creating their own gin. Until one day, they made that dream a reality; and so Scapegrace Gin was born.

Scapegrace Gin is made with 12 botanicals. Which botanicals? We’re glad you asked. Predominantly, you’ll find orange with lemon peel shining through. But the gin also features coriander seeds, nutmeg, juniper berries, cardamom pods, angelica root, cloves, liquorice root, orris root, cinnamon sticks, cassia bark, and dried tangerine. That may sound like a mouthful, but the combination produces the perfect balance of flavour in every sip..

To create that perfectly smooth consistency, Scapegrace Gin is made from water torn from the Earth 80 years after it was hurled down to New Zealand’s Southern Alps. Take this in: the water in Scapegrace Gin may have been filtering through rocks before you were even alive!

Pretty impressive stuff, right? We’re not the only ones who think so. In fact, Scapegrace Gin has a whole lineup of accolades backing their brand. Most recently, Scapegrace won Gold at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in 2020. Plus, the makers of the gin earned the title of World’s Best London Dry Gin in 2018!

But that’s not all. The Scapegrace Classic won double gold in 2014 at the San Francisco Wine & Spirits Competition, Gold in 2019 at the Tastings.com Competition, Gold in 2018 at the Gin Masters Competition, Outstanding Silver in 2015 at the London International Wine & Spirits Competition, and Silver at the 2017 San Francisco Wine & Spirits Competition. We could go on, people… That’s a trophy case that is packed to the brim!
