A Christmas Carol is a holiday classic, and each year the Citadel continues to bring its magic to Edmonton.

The Citadel Theatre’s A Christmas Carol is back for another year of Christmas cheer. A group of talented performers put on a show of David van Belle’s adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic, and this year it’s returning for more. If you’re a fan of this Christmas carol dedicated to bringing spirit into the holiday, you cannot miss out on this one.

What to expect

Citadel Theatre does a lot of fantastic shows. This season, besides A Christmas Carol, it puts on shows like Vinyl Cafe: The Musical and even the popular Wizard of Oz, coming up.

The story of A Christmas Carol follows Ebenezer Scrooge, who is given just one night to redeem himself. When he’s visited by three ghosts, Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, they help him try to overcome a lifetime of indifference before all hope is lost.

Transport yourself to the mid-1950s with nostalgic songs like I’ll Be Home For Christmas and White Christmas and experience the magic of the season. It’s an unforgettable experience bringing life back into Christmas.

This show will be playing from Nov. 22 to Dec. 24, almost every day this holiday season. Dec. 6 marks its relaxed experience, with a captioned performance at 1:30 p.m. This is the only one of its kind, so if you’re looking to snag up tickets, do it fast.

Speaking of, tickets are available now, starting at $40.

Don’t miss out on this classic Edmonton tradition!
