The annual Kingway holiday parade tradition is back, yet again, for another year of festive goodness.

Here, you can join Santa in his journey as he makes his way to Santa’s Court in Kingsway Mall. This holiday parade comes around each year, and it never fails to light the streets up with holiday cheer. Join and watch the parade and floats ride past; don’t miss out on one of the most festive events in Edmonton.

What to expect

Starting at 5 p.m. on Nov. 22, Santa will begin his journey along Kingsway Ave. This adventure will take him into Kingsway Mall, where folks can get professional pictures with the man himself until Dec. 24. This begins on Nov. 22, with the parade kicking off his arrival.

The organizers suggest the optimum viewing area will be along Kingsway starting from the Superstore to the corner of 109th Street, as the parade will be travelling along the South side of the road. There is also plenty of room along Airway Park to watch and set up chairs.

Parking is available at Kingsway Mall, the Edmonton Inn (although limited due to events), Central Lions Senior Centre, and the Alberta Aviation Museum (though vehicles will not be able to leave until the roadways are reopened at approximately 6:15 p.m.).

Donations are encouraged, as this holiday parade is helping out the Edmonton Food Bank this season. Non-perishable food items will be collected during this event, and drop-off bins will be located near Superstore and Kingsway Mall.

Start off the holiday season right with this spectacular event!
