The 11 km of sandy beaches are ideal for families and the vast amount of beachfront means you should have no issues finding a spot to post up for the day.
If you prefer to be a little more active, the park also has over 20 km of trails to check out.
All of the trails are marked as easy, with some as short as 1.2 km and others as long as 8 km. The Marsh Trail is a popular one, stretching 7.2 km one way with a 14.4 km return.
The trail will allow you to check out the park’s marsh without getting your feet wet, winding through the extensive wetland area.
According to Ontario Parks, “After the first 1km of your walk, you will come to a swallow nesting structure, an excellent addition to the ecological integrity of Rondeau. Many species of turtles, frogs, and birds are seen along this trail, and keep your eyes open for some of our Species at Risk like the Spotted Gar, Bald Eagle and Swamp Rose Mallow.”
