We’ve all greatly missed Seattle’s festivals. And while we were hoping for an in-person return in 2021 clearly that’s not going to be the case. But the good news is that Northwest Folklife is happening this month and is celebrating its 50th anniversary in a brand new online and digital format. Get ready to enjoy Folklife like never before!

As always, the festival is free for you to enjoy. And this year it will be as full of events as ever. You’ll be able to take a look at 50 years of Folklife celebrated through dance, performance, panel presentations, and much more. You’ll also be able to see a curated livestream of performance, music, and dance works from Pacific Northwest artists. It will certainly be a lot to see and well worth checking out.

Another huge part of the festival is the diverse group of vendors that come to sell their wares. And like past festivals, you’ll still be able to purchase all sorts of items thanks to the virtual marketplace. Honestly, we have a feeling that this is going to be one of the more successful major virtual festivals that our city has done. So we’re quite excited to attend!

We highly recommend that you hop online and check out the schedule of artists as we can guarantee there are at least a few performances that you’ll want to check out. If you’d like to learn more or check out the lineup and marketplace you can click below. Have fun and happy folklife!
