  2. Shell Key Preserve, Florida
  3. Lanikai Beach, Hawaii
  4. Kauapea Beach, Hawaii
  5. Sedge Island, New Jersey
  6. Lovers Key State Park, Florida
  7. Salt Creek Beach, California
  8. Wildcat Beach, California
  9. Dry Tortugas National Park, Florida

While Washington didn’t make the top 10, two beaches in Olympic National Park made the cut.

Hole in the Wall Beach took 70th place due to its natural beauty and unique rock formations. The beach which is only accessible via a moderate hike wows visitors with a dramatic rocky shoreline, tide pools, sea stacks and more. It’s great for exploring as well as for watching the park’s wildlife.

Second Beach took 72nd place also for its beauty, most notably its stunning expanse of sand and sea, framed by towering cliffs and rock formations. Like Hole in the Wall Beach it also has tidal pools and sea stacks to explore.

Here’s to days spent on the beach!
