It’s that time again, friends! Holiday Fair in the Square begins this weekend in Toronto and it’s a beloved tradition that’s a fun-filled carnival and festive market all at once.

This annual event in Nathan Phillips Square has “the charm and elegance of a Christmas market with the excitement of a thriving winter carnival and light show,” according to the description.

In addition to the sprawling artisan marketplace with vendors selling hand-crafted items and one-of-a-kind gifts, the event will also have entertainment, tasty bites, carnival rides, and even a festive outdoor bar.

Fill up on mouthwatering cuisine from one of Toronto’s finest food trucks while you warm up at the Fireside Lounge.

Then, head over to Polar Point Bar for boozy sips like Sprucewood Shores Mulled Wine, Kraken Spiked Hot Apple Cider, seasonal beer, liquor, and wine.

Or, you can try something new like a Reid’s Gin & Ginger Hot Toddy, which is available exclusively at the Holiday Fair.

You’ll be treated to shows by an exciting array of professional performers, that combine festive entertainment and original artistry.

And most importantly, you’ll have access to the jolly Holiday Midway right in the heart of downtown, which features a classic carrousel, games, prizes, and more, illuminated by a dazzling display of holiday lights.

Also taking place in Nathan Phillips Square this month is the Cavalcade of Lights.

Running until January 7th, this year’s festivities are inspired by international lantern, fire, and light festivals, transforming the square into a spectacular winter wonderland all holiday season long.

You can glide the afternoon away on the outdoor skating rink, admire the beautiful tree, and then head next door to the Eaton Centre for holiday concerts and indoor snowfall.

Sounds like a perfect day to us!
