If you like to keep up with what’s filming in and around Vancouver, then this list is for you. Hollywood North has been hard at work this season and it’s shaping up to be an even busier time ahead, so let’s get into it. From the last season of Riverdale ever to A Million Little Things, here are 10 movies and TV shows filming around Vancouver this winter.

Riverdale, Season 7

We’ll start off with Riverdale because why not. It’s the last season and it’s been an…interesting ride. One that deserves credit where credit is due. From dimension-travelling to random pole dances, unexplained seizures, and Riverdale suddenly becoming Rivervale – it’s been entertaining in that ‘can’t look away from a car crash’ way. The final hoorah will be filming in Langley from October 17th until late June 2023 – so you still have plenty of time to catch the cast & crew out and about in Vancouver.

Under the Bridge, Season 1

This eight-episode limited series is based on Rebecca Godfrey’s book about the true story of a 14-year-old who never returned home from a friend’s party. The show follows seven teenage girls and one boy who were accused of her murder. The show will be filming at 22031 Fraserwood Way in Richmond from December 5th to April 17th, 2023.

Nancy Drew, Season 4

Season 4 of CW’s Nancy Drew series is set in Horseshoe Bay in Maine, but it’s being filmed rather close to our own Horsehoe Bay. Kennedy McMann returns as the starring teen detective, with production in North Vancouver lasting from Tuesday, July 19th until December 2022.

A Million Little Things, Season 5

This show can be said to have a million plotlines going at once, but there’s nothing “little” about them. Season 5 of the ABC hit continues the varying stories of each character and their unexpected life circumstances and relationships. And it’s filming in Burnaby now until March 3, 2023.

Yellowjackets, Season 2

Now in its second season, “Yellowjackets” tells the story of a team of high school soccer players who survive a devastating plane crash deep in the Ontario wilderness. Not a light watch by any means, but definitely intriguing. The show is currently filming in Burnaby on Boundary Road until February 17th, 2023.

Season 4 of Virgin River wasn’t even up on Netflix before production was already in motion for season 5. The romantic drama may be set in a small Californian town, but it’s being filmed (at least partially) in Burnaby (8820 Northbrook Court) this fall. Check out the set until Thursday, November 17th.

The Flash, Season 9

Season 9 of the Flash may be the show’s last season, but that doesn’t mean Grant Gustin and the rest of the cast & crew aren’t ready to go out with a bang. The beloved series will be filming in East Van (3500 Cornett Road Bld. C) from September 14th until March 6, 2023.

Superman & Lois, Season 3

Filming in Richmond this fall is the third instalment of CW’s Superman & Lois, and the series has reportedly introduced Australian actor Michael Bishop as the new Jonathon Kent. Filming is already underway until April 5th, 2023 – so, if you’re curious to see Tyler Hoechlin’s new superman costume up close, you know here’s where the action will be.

The Painter

From November 28th to December 20th, The Painter  (dir. Cory Wexler Grant) will be filmed in downtown Vancouver (1950 Franklin Street). The story follows a wealthy art collector’s obsession with a young painter.

The Spiderwick Chronicles, Season 1

Last but not least, we have another Disney+ production based on the wildly popular Spiderwick Chronicles books. The series just started filming on September 12th in North Vancouver and is expected to go on until late January next year. The 2008 film starring Freddie Highmore and Seth Rogen was a hit, so we expect the show to follow suit!
