Another year, another COVID holiday – but never fear! There are still some events that have implemented Alberta’s restriction exemption program and are safe to attend. From sit-down dinners to Calgary’s annual firework display, here are 8 New Year’s Eve events you can still attend to ring in 2022. No, you won’t be able to dance your pants off this time around, but you can fill up on some celebratory grub and enjoy a nice evening with some friends – which certainly isn’t a bad way to do it!

OXBOW NEW YEAR’S EVE DINNER

Oysters, lobster bisque, short rib and cake? Who needs a crazy NYE shindig, when you can eat your way into 2022? This year, Calgarians still looking to get out and enjoy themselves are encouraged to check out Oxbow in Kensington for a decadent dining experience.

HERITAGE PARK NYE DINNER

FIREWORKS AT THE CALGARY TOWER

2022 is going to be explosive! At least, it will be if the City of Calgary has anything to say about it! Next week, bundle up and head out to your favourite viewing spot for a firework spectacular which will also be accompanied by music on CJSW 90.9 FM.

A family-friendly affair – Calgary’s Zoolights is an annual favourite. This New Year’s Eve, pack the kidlets into the car, grab a hot chocolate and take part in various countdowns (for those who can’t stay late) and extra special activities under millions of twinkling bulbs.

FLAMES NEW YEAR’S GAME VS. THE JETS
