You’ll be able to enjoy a winter solstice market from the folks who put on the popular Seattle Night Market. Expect to shop, eat, and listen to live music. To make things even better you can enjoy an adults-only event on Friday, it’s 21+ fun only or you can also check out Saturday for an all-ages event.

PNB’s Nutcracker is one that you probably know well. It follows the story of a young girl as she adventures into a Christmas wonderland with her newfound friend, the nutcracker. Together they battle the evil mouse king and bring joy to all the fantastical characters they meet along the way. With PNB’s talented dancers, detailed costumes, and choreography it’s a must-watch and perfect romantic date.

If you’re down for a bit of a drive it’s well worth it to head to Stanwood. You’ll get to see over a million spectacular lights, dazzling displays, all while you wave to Santa and Mrs. Claus and listen to Christmas music in the warmth and comfort of your own car. It’s 30 minutes of Christmas fun that you can add to an evening date.

If you’re looking to see a classic holiday tale come to life then you’ll want to head over to Chehalis where you can hop on the Polar Express. This event is more family focused so if you have kids feel free to bring them along as the Polar Express is read and hot cocoa and cookies are served. Get ready to be whisked away to the North Pole in a railway car filled with holiday cheer.

Seattle’s iconic Christmas pop-up bars, Miracle and Sippin’ Santa, are opening back up for the holiday season. Whether you’re in the mood for kitschy over-the-top decor or a holiday bar with a tiki twist, you can try both this year. As for the cocktail menu, you can expect professionally-developed creations that combine all your favourite flavours of the holidays.

If you’ve lived in Seattle long enough chances are that you’ve heard singing coming from Puget Sound during the holidays. That beautiful sound is the Argosy Cruises Christmas Ship and while watching from shore is nice, you can actually ride the ships and hear the singing up close.
