Well folks, the time has almost come to kiss 2021 goodbye. After all that this year put us through, we aren’t very sad to see it go, but we definitely have high hopes for the new year. Whether you’re ready for a sky-high soirée, a trip to old Hollywood, a groovy 70s dance party, or an enchanted night at the museum, Toronto has just the year-end event for you.

Here are 11 of the best and biggest New Year’s Eve events happening in Toronto this year!

CN Tower New Year’s Eve

Celebrate the new year surrounded by good company, great food, and spectacular views of the city from the CN Tower’s 360 Restaurant. Dine on the 4-course with amuse bouche Canadian-inspired menu by Executive Chef John Morris and toast to new beginnings with a glass of bubbly. Vegan menus are available on request!

Enchanted Night

Ring in 2022 with a one-of-a-kind evening at the Aga Khan Museum. Described as the “most magical soirée of the year,” your ticket comes with access to the galleries, comedian and mentalist performances, flamenco shows, late-night snack and dessert bars, and live DJ dance parties. Grand NYE — Welcome to Miami

Toronto’s Grand Bizarre Supper Club is hosting an epic bash on December 31st and a dinner service provided by celebrity chef Robert Rainford. Live performers and dancers will provide entertainment while you sip cocktails, followed by a live DJ spinning all of the best tunes of the year.

Midnight in Hollywood NYE Gala

The recently-opened Toronto Beach Club is offering a special menu on New Year’s Eve followed by an Old Hollywood-themed Gala to ring in the new year. Get ready for an evening filled with exquisite Mediterranean food, extravagant drinks, and incredible music all in one place.

New Year’s Eve Comedy Extravaganza

Not in the mood to bust a move on the dance floor? Bust a gut at a comedy show instead. Put on by Yuk Yuk’s founder Mark Breslin, this show has a stacked lineup of Canada’s best comics, so you’ll definitely be saying goodbye to 2021 with a big grin on your face. The best part is that the show ends relatively early, so you’ve got plenty of time to get to your next destination before midnight.

Gimme Gimme Disco

Put on your dancing shoes and your finest bellbottoms for a groovy night of 70s hits. Party the night away to the sounds of ABBA, The Bee Gees, Cher and more at this throwback party at Danforth Music Hall. Disco attire is encouraged but not mandatory!

New Year’s Eve at REBEL

Toronto’s massive waterfront concert venue is throwing an epic rager this NYE, so if you’re looking to start off 2022 on a high note this is definitely the place to be. Described as “Toronto’s largest New Year’s Eve,” this event is bound to be a good time. Pop the champagne!

Toronto New Year’s Eve Fireworks

What better way to welcome the new year than with a fireworks show? The city will put on a dazzling fireworks display for the first time since the pandemic on December 31st, but it’ll be modified to keep big crowds from forming in one place. The “10-minute, high-altitude fireworks display” will be held at several locations along the waterfront, visible from the Scarborough shoreline all the way to Etobicoke.

House of Balloons

This Queen West hotspot is hosting a New Year’s jam and from the sounds of it, you won’t be disappointed. Party your way into 2022 to hip-hop, house, and top 40 anthems. Plus, your ticket comes with a free champagne toast at midnight!

The Forest of Hikari

This New Year’s Eve, Chotto Matte is transporting guests into a Japanese light festival fused with the Peruvian rainforest. The opulent dinner party will see the restaurant as it’s never been before. As you enjoy your Fuji blossom cocktail and dine on the deluxe sharing menu, you’ll be treated to “live immersive entertainment,” DJs, and a special keepsake to take home with you.
