Just when you thought real estate in the GTA couldn’t get any more ridiculous, a new record has been set in Mississauga for the most expensive pre-construction penthouse.

The city’s Exchange District condos across from Square One will be home to a 10,000 sq ft luxury penthouse, listed for a mere $15 million. The property, located in the EX3 tower, exudes “unparalleled elegance” in every room, according to a press release from the developer Camrost Felcorp.

The home takes up the entire 66th floor of the tower, with an 8,000 sq ft interior living space, 2,000 square feet of balconies, and panoramic views so clear you can see the sunrise in Toronto in the morning and the sunset over Burlington Bluffs in the evening.

The penthouse has its own wine cavern, five large bedrooms with staff quarters, two laundry rooms, two large walk-in closets and spa-inspired ensuites, a private fitness space and fully-equipped gym, and more.

“The suite will be accessed by elevator service that carries residents to their penthouse suite from their private, below grade garage with space for five cars,” the description says.

If this home is a bit out of your price range, other units in the building were sold for $550,000 this past fall, but we’re willing to bet that they don’t come with wine caverns.

When it’s complete, the Exchange District will consist of three residential towers and more than 2 million square feet of retail, shopping, dining, and office space, plus a boutique hotel, public parks, and open spaces.

We can’t even begin to imagine the types of people who will put in an offer on this place, but according to Camrost Felcorp’s VP of Sales, “for the purchaser of this penthouse suite it will be about just one thing – luxury.”
